Renton Interactive Map

Of all the cities that could be affected by the flooding of the Green River, the city of Renton has released the most comprehensive information about the potential flood areas. They have released four different maps, based on four different water levels coming from Howard Hanson Dam.

We’ve put all four of these maps into a single “depiction,” so you can examine and compare each of them.

New interactive map up–now for Kent

By popular demand, we’ve put up an interactive map for Kent. It includes the flood scenario map and evacuation routes provided by the city of Kent.

Interactive map of Auburn

We’ve added another interactive map–this time it’s of Auburn. This is largely the same depiction that was used for the popular YouTube video “Howard Hanson Dam & the Green River: Depicting the Flood Risk.In addition to the flood prediction map provided by the city and the satellite and elevation imagery, the depiction includes the locations of schools, nursing homes, daycare centers and other vulnerable buildings. Interactive Tukwila Map

We’ve added the first interactive map to the site–a map of Tukwila that includes flood information and an evacuation plan from the city, satellite imagery and elevation imagery. Go ahead and play around with it!
